He has worked at Timpany Walton for over 40 years. Grant is married and has three children, with two sons living in Wanaka, George being a chef and owner of Muttonbird Restaurant and Jack, a builder, and his daughter Eliza who is the Administration Manager at Harcourts in Timaru.
His leisure interests include regular gym attendance, indoor rowing, craft beers, good food and wine, reading, snow skiing, and fair weather boating on Lake Wanaka.
