Thomas is a Partner of the firm who deals with a variety of litigation matters including civil disputes, employment, family (relationship property, care of children and Family Protection Act claims), criminal matters, work licences, insolvency, and debt collection.
Thomas is a Partner of the firm who deals with a variety of litigation matters including civil disputes, employment, family (relationship property, care of children and Family Protection Act claims), criminal matters, work licences, insolvency, and debt collection.
Litigation appeals to Thomas because of the interaction with people,the importance of receiving pragmatic advice and having a strong advocate. He enjoys working at Timpany Walton because of the depth of experience within the firm and the large variety of work.
Thomas acts as a Court appointed Lawyer for Children. He regularly appears in the Family Court, District Court and High Court civil list.
Thomas is heavily involved in the hockey community and is the President of the Cambridge Hockey Club. He is a vice president of the South Canterbury Chamber of Commerce, and the Chair of the South Island Masters Games. Along side this he is also the honorary solicitor for a number of sporting and community groups.
Outside of work, Thomas enjoys spending time with his young family and pretending he knows what he’s doing on his lifestyle block. He is playing hockey for the Cambridge Hockey Club and runs regularly having run a number of marathons.
